FAQ’s
What medium are your original paintings?
I work mainly in water-based mediums: acrylic paint, inks, charcoals, pencils, and collage materials. Further details will usually be listed alongside each piece.
Are your paintings framed?
Most work on canvas is sold unframed; many prefer this more modern look, meaning it can be shipped without costing you more. If you like the look of a frame, you can choose when you have the painting with you – it’s easier to decide that way! A slimline box frame looks great on a canvas.
Paintings on cradled wood usually have a contemporary handpainted wooden frame. Details will be with each work. Please get in touch with me if you want bespoke advice or have any further questions – framing can be an art in itself!
My favorite painting has sold – how can I be sure to know about new work?
Some pieces sell very quickly. Make sure you join my mailing list to learn about new work before it is added to the Shop. But, as I try to avoid bombarding you with emails, you can also follow studio progress on Instagram or Facebook to see work coming up.
How will my painting be wrapped?
It depends on size, but paintings will be carefully packed using corner protection, bubble wrap, and cardboard. Each piece of art is unique, so I ensure it is well-protected to arrive in perfect condition.
Do you do special commissions?
Currently, I’m not taking on any new commissions as I’m working on a new body of work. If you like my style, then one of those may be the one for you!
Will my painting be ready to hang?
Yes, all canvas paintings will come ready to hang, wired for the weight of the piece. For smaller work, I suggest using 3M hanging strips. I use them all over my house when I have a small piece of art.
You need to decide where!
I want you to be happy with your new art. If you have any questions, please contact me in advance at jennifer@jenniferloew.com
Every care has been taken to show the artwork as accurately as possible about size and color. The image you see online may differ due to slight variations between browsers, devices, and screen settings. Any variation between the image represented and the actual artwork is not deemed a fault, and slight inconsistencies will not be a valid reason for return.
ORDERING
How is my payment handled?
Payments are taken through PayPal or Stripe in USD. You do not need a PayPal account to purchase; you can use the PayPal service to pay with your regular debit or credit card. We do not store any of your debit/credit card details.
Purchasing with a deposit
As the value of my work grows, spreading the cost can be a helpful option. Please contact me to arrange. You can hold the painting with a 50% deposit. The balance can be paid in one further payment or 2 monthly payments of 25% each. This is an informal agreement made with trust; you understand that a deposit will secure your artwork, and you will be required to pay the remaining balance.
This is not a credit scheme but an arrangement of trust at no extra cost to you. Usual shipping costs and return policy will apply.
Can I purchase your work with a different payment plan?
Yes, that can be arranged. For any work over $500, you can pay in installments. Please email me, and we can work out an arrangement that suits you. Your work will be shipped to you as soon as the final payment is made.
SHIPPING
I have placed my order; how soon will I receive my painting?
After purchase, I will email you about the pricing from either FedEx or UPS (I prefer FedEx). Then, after the shipping invoice is paid, the art will be safely packed to ship. I cannot ship paintings larger than 48x48, but you can have the art removed from the stretcher bars, shipped in a tube, and re-stretched (at an additional cost with a framer). Original paintings will be packed and shipped within 5 working days.
If you are local, within 50 miles of Chelan/Manson, I will set up a time to bring the art to you. Seattle area applies. However, it may take up to a week to have the art hand-delivered.
Can you ship internationally?
Yes, I can ship to most countries, although it will take longer to arrive, depending on your location. If your location is restricted, you need a bespoke courier service once you get to the checkout. Message me with your details and the piece you want, and I can give you shipping options.
Overseas shipments (outside the US) may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the destination country’s laws. Any additional charges are at the customer’s expense. I have no control over these charges and accept no responsibility for additional charges.
Shipping costs contribute towards packing supplies, labor, and transit fees.
RETURNS
What if my painting arrives and I don’t like it?
I want you to be delighted with your new artwork, so I offer a return agreement.
If a painting differs from what you expect, you have 14 days to contact me by email and request a refund. Once a return has been agreed upon, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery using the same service sent to you. Once the piece has been safely returned, I will refund your payment within 14 days.
What if my painting arrives damaged?
All work is carefully packed and wrapped. If you receive a work damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days with photos.
What about Overseas Returns?
At this time, I cannot offer a refund or return on any product(s) sent outside of the US.
